This was the first hotel I stayed in Canada, and it made quite an impression on me ... after trying other hotels, none of them suited us both as much as Le Dauphin. Spacious, modern, very comfortable, equipped with modern appliances like flat-screen TVs, and computers with free internet. The beds are big (1.30m) and comfortable, and the bathroom has a lot of toiletries. There's individual climate control for each room. The lobby is spacious, with lots of information for tourists, and plenty of room to be comfortable. The small hotel is next to the convention center and Place Jean Paul Riopelle. In short: Comfortable, friendly, and a place to go back to.
Undoubtedly this is most impressive hotel in the [poi = 90729] Canadian Rockies [/ poi], both for its size and level of luxury and simply for its prime location. If in the late nineteenth century you get to build a hotel and you can choose any site. Naturally, the new site can be none other than the most beautiful lake shore in the region. And that is the hotel Chateau Lake Louise. With the caveat that this is a concrete building ten stories high and with over 500 rooms. We're not talking about a mountain refuge. The Chauteau is visible from anywhere in the Lake, also from the top of the mountains that form the lake. I personally am not a big fan of its style, but thankfully that it is the only building of its kind in the Rockies.

I had a wonderful experience at this Chateau -it was very fancy and very expensive but the service was very exclusive. The building is sublime and at night it is lit up. I recommend a visit and, in terms of staying, I leave that to you to decide.

I visited Niagara Falls on my honeymoon, and although there's an expression that says ... when you go to Niagara boyfriends stop making eye contact to behold the spectacular falls ... for me dinner in the Skylon Tower revolving restaurant was one of the experiences that has stuck deep inside. You sit at a window table and before long you can see the falls illuminated in different colors and only those who have been lucky enough to see a show like this understand. This view of the falls lit up at night is a must if you visit Niaraga and although the price is not very cheap it is certainly worth doing. The Skylon restaurant is definitely a very good option, I do not know if there are other places to view the falls at night. To visit the falls and not see them lit night is a sin you should not commit. Ahhh and all the food is excellent.

This was the only hotel that left a bad taste in my mouth during my stay in Canada. First due to its poor location, then what we found inside. I guess that its name, Classique, was pre-existing because the owners mustn't know how to carry out a renovation or how to look after a building. The state of the room was quite awful, and I do not consider myself as someone demanding. The noise of the smoke extractors from the kitchen barely let us sleep. A thousand and one details come to mind such as the floor of the concrete terrace missing some tiles, the lack of bulbs and chips in the furniture and that the bathtub leaked water. Breakfast barely covered what was expected and there were few or no kind words from the staff and then you find an envelope on the desk asking for the missing tip. In theory it was to be the best hotel during our trip, but in reality it fell short compared to the others. It's not about asking for luxuries, but rather requiring that everything functions properly and is in perfect condition.
Strategically located next to Dundas Square, this was the numpteenth hotel that we stayed at during our trip to Canada. It looked inviting, perhaps even too much, since the room was a bit small and had a rather cramped the feeling. The bathroom was clean, well equipped with towels and bathing products. There was also a satellite TV. The room was not particularly soundproof and, whilst it wasn´t really a problem during the day, the central location was a problem at night because of the uproar you could hear on the street. The air conditioning apparatus, located right next to the bed, was somewhat noisy. Very attentive staff, lots of information available for the client, breakfast very good despite being an organized tour. Room access card which you also had to use in the elevator, too, starting at 10 pm. The best thing about this place is the location, which allowed us to get a taxi and walk to a lot of places in the center, and the area seemed very safe, but the truth is that in Canada I never felt unsafe.
I have to share my experience of Canada with you. Whistler is definitely the best skiing place I've enjoyed in life, the people, the snow, the kindness. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment in the center of town, and there was so much space. Also we had a full kitchen and a dining area. I highly recommend this accommodation, we booked through Whistler Ski Team, who organized the entire trip from Whistler, and we received the apartment. Very professional and pleasant. Also, we practiced Helski for the first time :) I recommend this resort, I recommend it to everyone I talk to. Kisses, Carmi
An old school building has been turned into and hostel-hotel, ideal for a couple of nights while exploring the Gaspésie National Park. It is run by a very kind lady who is also in charge of making breakfast. In the basement you will find the old school kitchen available to cook whatever we want plus a couple of fridges in which we can put all our food. The double room we took was classy, clean, spacious and air conditioned (essential in summer) ... The only problem I see is their website .. someone should tell this woman that she won´t get very far with this website ... (I was about to do it but as my French was not good enough so I decided not to try). Making a reservastion is a bit messy, it´s not very easy to use and all rooms have a somewhat strange name ... But honestly, I think it is worth the trouble trying to book, or if not make the booking over the phone. It is highly recommendable accommodation.
The fact that the "Whalers on the Point Guesthouse" a member of Hostelling International gives a certain prestige to the accommodation, but also makes it a bit more expensive than other hostels that can be found in the world. Recently created, this well maintained and clean. Proper kitchen, spacious living area and stunning views over the bay.
