Magnificent, elegant, relaxing ... they are adjectives that fall short when describing this place I visited in summer. The entire hotel in the antique monastery is magnificent. The staff are super friendly. They give you all the information you need and they let you visit the public areas even if you are staying there.
The hotel is full of corners for quiet and relaxation, not only the spa, also the cloister, the library and more little nooks that there are in the hotel with comfortable sofas and modern art works that contrast with the surroundings. And if we want we can celebrate our wedding in the chapel or church of the monastery itself.
The environment is perfect for excursions, hill walking, horse riding or quad biking. Anyway, 100% recommended.
This place is situated in a prime location, in a natural setting of the Pyrenees. It is in the Aragonese town of Benasque, Huesca. It lies between the Natural Reserve of Posets-Maladeta and Aneto top, and next to the Nordic ski Plains Hospital. There are a total of 55 comfortable rooms. All rooms are adequately equipped to meet the needs of it's guests and to make them feel at home. The hotel offers its guests a great restaurant and a modern spa.
The Hotel Rural El Mirador is a charming hotel located in the Aragonese Pyrenees. The best part of the stay was undoubtedly the personal service of the owners, even before I arrived. To begin the day, they greeted us with freshly-squeezed orange juice and a fantastic breakfast.
The rest of the weekend was marvelous. Saturday morning we saw the Roman art in the town itself, which has two lovely churches and the San Juan de la Peña monastery. In the afternoon, we visited some charming towns like Hecho and Ansó, both of which feature typical Pyrenean architecture of stones walls and wooden ceilings.
Before dinner, we had the chance to disconnect in the spa for a while. On Sunday, we visited the impressive Selva de Oza, one of the most beautiful places in the Pyrenees.
It was definitely a weekend to remember. The only drawback was that we went in winter, so we couldn't enjoy the garden and swimming pool with views of the town and mountains. This summer, my significant other and I will try and go back!
This two star hotel is near the city centre. It's very clean and cozy with very personalized service and a friendly atmosphere. The rooms are equipped with heating and air conditioning, telephone, bathroom with hairdryer, mini-bar, safe, TV, terrace, laundry, and elevator. In summer, it provids free tickets for public swimming pools.
I loved getting to visit this picturesque place in the north of Spain, the mountains of Aragon.
They have the best ski resorts, fresh air, and this is where I enjoyed an unforgettable stay at the hotel Barcelo Jaca. I would gladly go there to rest and relax.
I always remember the Christmas I spent with Mariano and Maria Jose, the owners of this exquisite little hotel in the town of Sallent de Gállego. It snowed a lot, and returning to Almud, built and decorated with a lot of affection, was like returning to a warm nest.
The hotel, small and intimate, is amazing, every detail, every object, every corner, speaks of the dedication Maria Jose and Mariano have put into transforming these former eighteenth century stables. The "mountain residency", as they describe Almud, is even more memorable for the cordial treatment from its owners.
As if this were not enough, in the dining room, Mariano, a true master in the kitchen serves some unforgettable dishes.
One of the most known and visited shelters Park is N.Posets-Maladeta Estós. We arrived there by taking an easy hike through some beautiful and changing landscapes. We passed through the dam, the cottages of Santa Ana and Tormo (among which we miss to see the waterfalls of the Gorgas Gallant), grasslands, forests, animals, rivers, ... well, what you might call a " completito mountain ", and in the end we reached the mountain hotel or hostel, which had everything we needed. Shelters usually found in the mountains that are rustic stone cottages that were used by shepherds in the past, and as a luxury only have a fireplace (sleeps but bare ground), but in Estos, there is even a restaurant. That is such A luxury after arriving because you get to sit up there and sit on the terrace with views of the valley, with the sandwich or macaroni tupperware, take a Coca-colo and take a great little rest before you go to head back on the return journey. Ahhh, now this is really living.
I was delighted to spend a few days at this hotel and in Benasque, it has a very original design and it is very comfortable, the rooms are very spacious with a large closet, super-comfortable mattresses and very good breakfast.
Morillo de Tou is a recovered village in the Aragon Pyrenees. Accommodations there include camping, apartments, houses, wooden houses, and hostels. From Morillo, you can get to the National Park of Ordesa, as well as Monte Perdido, Añisclo Canyon, Sierra de Guara, and Sobrarbe Geopark. It has ping pong tables, sports, a botanical trail, a path of renewable resources, and the Aragon Traditional Pottery Museum. Also, in summer, there is a swimming pool, supermarket, library and children's entertainment.
Small family hotel which we stayed in for two nights on our visit to the Ordesa National Park. The service is excellent, total cleanliness, affordable prices and the perfect location for going through the main gate of the park. As a side note, I'll add that at that time it was only Hostel-Residency and although they didn't provide meals, the woman packed us a great picnic.
This small 2-star hotel in Jaca turned out to be one of the best options when I went in 2007 on two occasions. This great hotel is well-located near the center and not far from the train station. The rooms are nice and clean, the beds are very comfortable, there is good heating, and the reception is warm. If you plan to go and spend a few days in Jaca, I recommend it. When I went I didn't eat the hotel breakfast (not included in the price) but there are plenty of cafes nearby to have breakfast quietly and when you want, without having to be dependent on a schedule.
The hotel is located right on the Paseo de Anciles, a highly recommended and enjoyable ride that is nice for the whole family. A great advantage was the parking lot. The area is very quiet and you have everything you need. This is nice because remember, Benasque is not very big. Apparently it is a very large and a very large garden area, however the deal is familiar and the atmosphere is rustic and typical mountain family hotel: large families, children .. etc. My recommendation is to ask for a room facing the rear window open, and enjoy the views and silence Cerler Pico Mountain. Breakfast and dinner are dessert buffet, and the first and second of the dinner are menu choice. All quite varied. Anecdotally cooks the dinner we got to try Fried Eggs with Black Truffle, which adds a very special flavor. They also have a heated pool free access for guests staying, however, as in other hotels must avoid the rush hours. But you always have the option of payment spa much quieter and highly recommended after a day of skiing. Definitely a good option in Benasque.
The Real Jaca Hotel & Spa is located just steps away from the center of Jaca, in the Aragonese Pyrenees. The hotel has a total of seventy-eight rooms which feature a bathroom, hairdryer, heating, air conditioning, television, music, and free Internet.
The complex offers reception open 24 hours, a bar and a restaurant as well as a pool and a hot tub. It has a very convenient location because of its easy access to the ski resorts. The hotel is only 50 km from Formigal and 30 kilometers away from Candanchú Astún, so you can enjoy the surroundings, which are full of history, culture and a great mountain environment.
