The East Side Hotel Berlin is located opposite the East Side Gallery. Over 100 artists covered the nearby wall with graffiti on the former East side, which was banned during the dictatorship. The East Side is a building without charm, and pretty basic for what you're paying. But it has a good location in the neighborhood of Friedrischain, Simon Dache Street is 10 minutes walk and has dozens of bars, restaurants and other nice places to go and especially for Sunday brunch. The rooms cost 95 euros for a double, 130 euros for a family up to four people. The place has good views of Oberbaum Bridge and the river Spree.
On July 15 I traveled with my boyfriend to Berlin, Germany. We stayed at the hotel NHow Berlin (there are many NH chains so we had some trouble finding it because the GPS took us to other NH) and we loved it, the deal was spectacular. The room was designed in pink and each elevator was painted in different colors (green, blue, white, pink ..). The city was full of figures of bears (I loved to go looking for them on the streets and take pictures!) It is within walking distance of the Berlin wall, very nice indeed. I encourage you to go!
Eastern Comfort Hostel, Berlin is actually a boat, with 3 bridges and different kinds of accommodation. There are 25 cabins, 16 are for 1-4 people, and others are dormitories. So you can put your tent up and camp in the heart of Berlin! Obviously it's on the river Spree and lies at the height Oberbaum Bridge and the East Side Gallery, the big piece of graffiti painted wall. First class has a minibar, TV and a private bathroom. It has two large windows. Then the comfort down to third class, shared beds. Prices range from 78 euros/night for the first in a room, 64 euros for the simple. The double of the 2nd class is 58 euros/night, 4-bedroom is 76 euros. The dormitory is 16 euros and the tent 12 euros.
The Innside Premium Hotel Berlin is one of those places to relax. It´s a place where modern design does not conflict at all with the most friendly and welcoming service. It is less than 200 meters from the Ostbahnhof station, the main station in East Berlin and three miles from the Brandenburg Gate. That is, the location is excellent, but at the same time it is in a pretty quiet neighborhood, in the heart of East Berlin. Its modern rooms do not neglect any detail and are each decorated differently. The entire hotel is decorated with fantastic graffiti that gives an original touch. The hotel has a gym and sauna for relaxing. One of the best parts of the hotel is the sunroom where you can have a continental breakfast buffet. In summary, this hotel is very comfortable and perfect for resting a few days. Do keep in mind though that it isn´t super cheap since it costs about 120 euros for a double room. For one who is used to always sleeping at campsites and hostels, I am grateful that such confortable hotels exist even if I can only afford it a few times ...
Stationed in the city center it serves as a starting point to visit all the sights. Its bright rooms are equipped with all the technology to make your stay a real charm. There's also laundry and room service and the environment is quiet and peaceful.
The XBerger Hostel is located in the district of Kreuzberg, not far from Oberbaum bridge and the East Side Gallery. You can get there by Line U1 U-Bahn station exiting at Schlesisches Tor, or by the bus 265. There is a 24 hour front desk, but you can't check in before half past four in the afternoon. They offer luggage storage if you want to visit the city in the meantime. Next door, there is an interesting control tower from the former border between East and West Berlin. Prices start at 11 euros per person per night in low season for a 16 person dorm, then up to 16 euros for a 3 person shared-room and 18 euros each for a double room. Furthermore, they charge a one-time fee of 2 euros for sheets and 1euro for a towel. Some dorms are female only. The wifi is free and you can also use the kitchen.
