A backpackers hostel in the center of San Jose. Outwardly a bunker by the fence of its outer wall and large doors. Rooms are in a spartan style. Shared bathrooms. TV and Internet access with multiple computers. We had the misfortune to find people very noisy until 3 in the morning. Maybe it's just normal, but it is full of young people. Maps and signs with timetables and bus terminals. It is run by Costa Rican brothers. I booked from Spain without problems. For tight budgets, nothing fancy.
Los Laureles is one of the many hot springs found in Fortuna de San Carlos, Costa Rica, at the foot of the Arenal Volcano. The owners have created a group of natural hot pools and are now in the process of turning this place into a magnificent hotel. Now there are two fully equipped cabins that can sleep 16 people. You can buy food in the city of Fortuna.
A while ago, a group of friends bought a piece of land in the canton of Carrillo, Guanacaste, and converted it into a recreational facility. The subdivision was initially sold only to friends, but then it was purchased by the Solidarist Association of Employees for the Social Security Fund and they turned it into a Beach Hotel and Villas Nacazcol, creating a large resort. Just some friends kept their properties and today enjoy the benefits of the hotel's areas through a maintenance fee. It's a beautiful place where I go with my family to rest. It's within 20 kilometres of the most beautiful beaches in the Guanacaste Pacific.
A hotel in the middle of the jungle where you can enjoy a few relaxing days away from the madding crowd. It has everything you need, and considering the other options in the area it's definitely the best. The food is not great but acceptable and the staff is very attentive. Exploring the rivers and canals of the National Park is a joy for the eyes. If you bring a camera, bring a spare memory card, you won't stop taking photos! A joy!
A small B & B in the tourist area of Manuel Antonio, Quepos. It is a cozy place with great facilities: pool, restaurant, parking, WiFi, AC. National Park and beaches are a short distance away by car, otherwise there are taxi and bus services. Beautiful flora and fauna around.
The hotel is at the foot of the Arenal Volcano, you have a great panoramic view from anywhere. The facilities are of high quality, the rooms are very big and the hotel is surrounded by greenery. From there you can go to La Fortuna and Catartas at sunset and ride to one of the vantage points to see the volcano. I recommend it.
The JW Marriott Guanacaste Resort and Spa: one of the most magnificent resorts in Costa Rica. On the northwestern coast and offers an authentic Costa Rican. The rooms: private haven of luxurious comfort. The resort in Costa Rica has a choice of three beaches, championship golf course, equestrian center, world-class spa and more
We went to Pirate Cove on our honeymoon and the experience was unforgettable! This hotel has bungalows in the middle of the authentic Costa Rican jungle and on the Pacific shore itself! Many underwater activities can be performed, like scuba-diving surrounded by sharks and manta rays while listening to whales singing, then you can rest in a hammock until dinner time. The food was excellent and the service as well. As soon as we can, we are going back!
This is 300m from the turnoff to the road to the park, on the road to Manuel Antonio Queipos. These cabins are not bad for the price. A good place for travelers and for couples who come to not only enjoy Costa Rica but to stay. They are big and clean, nothing fancy. A private path to the beach where there aren´t many people. You can eat. For more information, current prices, etc., I put link and an external video also.
The Casitas Eclipse Hotel (Quepos - Puntarenas - Costa Rica) is located on the highest peak of Manuel Antonio,in Costa Rica. Right in front of the hotel is the main road that leads to Manuel Antonio National Park and the beach, and which makes them accessible in 5 minutes. This road also provides easy access to restaurants, bars, banks and other large shops. The hotel is surrounded by exotic gardens, which when combined with its strategic location next to the National Park, allows guests to enjoy within the place, the occasional visits of monkeys, iguanas, sloths, exotic birds, colored frogs and various other wild animals. You can book all the activities and expeditions at the hotel: Water rafting, canopy tours, horseback riding, fishing, tours to the mangroves and swamps and reservoirs (jungle trekking).
Situated in the town of Santa Elena and only 10 minutes from the Monteverde Biological Reserve, I found Monteverde Rustic Lodge, a hotel that is 100% recommended by travelers from different parts of the globe and I wanted to be in a place where I could make friends. This hotel is not a 5 star but the service and attention was great. The rooms are decorated with local wood and the interesting thing is that the design is typical of Jose and Marcelo (the owners) who are also the hosts. The hotel also offers tasty homemade breakfast included in the price. From here it is very easy to take the adventure tours, nature walks, rent a horse or walk into town for dinner or a drink. Jose and Marcelo made this place a real experience with excellent service, and it was surely a great deal.
This lively hostel is located in the town of Santa Elena, near the Biosphere Reserve in Monteverde. It has rooms with either a private or shared bathroom. Despite its low price everything is spotless and the rooms have free wifi, fridge and hairdryer. They are very large. The owner, Freddy, is so lovely and always willing to engage in a lively conversation with you or explain any route or anecdote. The cabins have their own coffee plantation and throughout the day you can try the coffee in the hostel. Breakfast is included and you can choose between two options that are shown daily on a blackboard so you can pick the one you like the look of. It also has a patio with hammocks, a common room with games, cheap laundry, shared kitchen, and is next to the supermarket. 100% Recommended.
This hotel has a really unbeatable location, on the main street and just metres from the National Theatre and the Museum of Gold. It's on one of the liveliest pedestrian streets in San Jose. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with huge, thick mattresses, and the hotel has wifi included. The service is lovely, with a varied breakfast buffet, including omelettes and pancakes made to request, as well as more traditional options.
Playa Blanca Hotel is near the Blue Iguana. A small white sandy beach is nearby and is easily explored. In the sand you can find small shells, crabs and also this place has a beautiful view. You can snorkel in the sea whilst enjoying crystal clear waters.
I stayed in Cabinas Manolo about a year ago and they gave me a great deal. Manolo, the owner, took us to the best places. We did excursions to see whales, Aguijita, etc. And it worked out to be pretty cheap! The landscapes are amazing in that area, the best in Costa Rica.
We visited this hotel with our family for Mother's Day. We chose the perfect hotel. The price was very affordable, the children saw many monkeys and enjoyed the pizza by the pool. It is close to the beach and the park where we spent a lot of time. If you are looking for a place with a family option, call the hotel and ask for rate for nationals, you will not regret it!
Emerging from the Costa Rican rainforest, the Lost Iguana resort offers guests a warm pool to recover from a long day of whitewater rafting, ziplining, and hiking. Nothing beats a cold drink in paradise.
The Buena Vista hotel has a great view from the mountain near San Jose International Airport. The environment is very relaxing and quiet, at 4200 feet, above the noise and distractions of the city. The views from the 2nd floor from the balconies are very good. The public pool has scenic views of the central valley and coffee plantations are available for clients which would like to enjoy and have tourist information.
Some friends have stayed there and they thoroughly enjoyed it and spoke highly of the service so I hope to visit myself soon. I would like to know more about this place perhaps the exact address and if there are any package deals available.. Furniture Costa Rica
A luxurious hotel but not very charming, in a centric area and great for sightseeing. It has a super-friendly staff and the max price per room including breakfast comes out to $ 45 . They will help you with anything you need.
This hotel is on the central Pacific coast of Costa Rica with a magnificent view of the Gulf of Nicoya and located at the top of a mountain. The Zephyr Palace is an impressive mansion with the most extraordinary view at sunset surrounded by tropical forests and the ideal climate
The Hotel Kasha has bungalows in a unique area of primary forest with howler monkeys, hundreds of birds, delightful gardens and is near one of the beautiful beaches of Costa Rica. Each of the hotel's bungalows are equipped with amenities like: direct dial telephone, bathroom with Italian ceramics, hairdryer and a safe. The hotel features a pool and spa, solarium and stunning tropical gardens. There is an excellent onsite restaurant and Bar.
Hotel at the foot of the Arenal Volcano which at night looks like falling lava. It is a lovely resort especially the part of the hot springs down the volcano at a temperature of about 40 ° c., There are pools, the restaurants are great, the grounds are marvelous.
