This amazing hotel can be found in the centre of Málaga. It has a stunning terrace on the 15th floor where you see the whole city (including the cathedral) and the port.
You can dine in the restaurant, take a dip in the pool or enjoy a cocktail.
Located on Mount Gibralfaro, surrounded by pine trees and next to the Alcazaba, this is a great location to enjoy the bay and the city. There's a great summer dining terrace, offering dinner with a view, and a small rooftop pool.
A very nice hotel located in a lovely, old building, with all amenities close by. The surroundings are spectacular, with plenty of places to relax or have a cup of coffee outdoors. There's a swimming pool, tennis court, mini golf, etc, and several hiking trails with beautiful landscapes, where you can enjoy a refreshing breath of air. The interior of the hotel is very welcoming; there are several tiny rooms with tables and fireplaces to make you feel at home. The rooms themselves are spacious, with rich fabrics, large beds, and everything you need. Some have a wood fireplace. As for the food, well, the restaurant is good, although it has somewhat high prices. The breakfast is very good.
It is a new hotel at the entrance to the Montes Natural Park in Malaga, 5 minutes from the historic city center. There are privileged panoramic views across the city. As it's a family business you feel at home, the food is homemade and there's a menu with a wide variety of specialties at a great price. The rooms have internet access, bathroom, air conditioning, heating, television and are cozy and very comfortable. I recommend this hotel for it's good quality and price ratio.
This is the perfect place for a holiday combining two things: golf and the beach. This 4 star hotel is in a very quiet location, away from the tourist crowds. Although it's not a historical building like many other hotels, it has the oldest golf course on the Costa del Sol. The hotel is divided into three buildings around a central pool surrounded by greenery. It has a lot of wide open spaces, allowing you to enjoy the good weather of the Malaga coast. The rooms are very spacious, with modern decor, and a private terrace overlooking the golf course and the Mediterranean, where you can enjoy the beautiful sunrises. The breakfast buffet is a real highlight ... gargantuan! A huge variety of food and great quality.
The Hotel Barceló Málaga has direct access to the new high speed train station station and a complete business center. It's about 15 minutes from the historic center and beaches. The only downside is that it's not loser to the cathedral or calle Larios. There are 221 modern and comfortable rooms with designer furniture and magnificent views of the Mediterranean and the city. There's also 1,500 m2 of rooms that are an interesting option for business travel. There's a large metal slide that you can slide down from the top floor (if you dare to try it). It is a cutting-edge solution to stay in Malaga.
If you are looking for a hotel that really pays attention to the little details, with a modern design and striking colours (red, black and white), the Hotel del Pintor is for you. Here the characteristics of a conventional hotel are mixed with art, and with paintings scattered throughout. This creates a unique, edgy style. In addition to the decoration and art, the hotel has a 24-hour reception, daily housekeeping, parking, organic breakfast which can be served in the room without a surcharge, private bathroom, free wifi in the rooms, laundry service, information, free walking tour...
My husband and I were looking for a quiet place to spend a few days to celebrate our anniversary. We love Malaga, which is where we decided to get married. I came across the Hostal Vidamia, with exquisite staff, service, decor and facilities. Run by a friendly couple, absolutely dedicated to their guests. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are tastefully decorated with real charm, and a personal touch. It offers reasonable prices, and cheap breakfasts, right in the centre of Malaga. Recommended.
They sell it as a 4 * but is exaggerated. The location is ok, near the center and the AVE train station and a shopping center. 15 minutes away is calle Larios. Recommended for its low price of just 55 € per night, to see Malaga in a couple of days
This hotel is in the center, just in front of the Cathedral. The rooms overlook calle Bolsa or calle Molina Lario that have spectacular views of the cathedral or the port. Ask for rooms on the top floors. On the roof there's a swimming pool that every Thursday to Saturday night between May and September becomes a chic bar. It serves cocktails and has a lively atmosphere. When it's good weather, breakfasts are served on the cozy outdoor patio. A good choice in the city of Malaga.
This unusual hotel is located in the historic center of Malaga, a few meters from Calle Larios, right next to the Cathedral and the Picasso Museum. It stands in a beautiful building dating back to the early twentieth century, and in fact seems like a palace, with 66 rooms decorated in an original modern style. I loved the colours, particularly the use of orange. In addition to having all the amenities of a 4 star hotel (air conditioning, satellite TV, minibar etc ...), it also offers the latest technological advances such as flat screen TV, laptop ,and free wifi, and a number of careful details, especially in the bathroom. A perfect combination of styles, with the antique exterior and the avant-garde interior.
A charming hotel with a good location, where you can easily explore the centre of Malaga. It's close to two of the city's most interesting museums, the Picasso and the Carmen Thyssen. It has modern decor, with a very attentive staff, who will make your stay a real pleasure, a pool on the roof, private parking, restaurant, and bar. Spacious and comfortable rooms, with top quality, varied breakfast. A good choice.
This hostel is located in the centre of Malaga, a few metres from the Plaza de la Constitution. It offers spacious and clean rooms, with the bare minimum: bed, desk, wardrobe and shelves. Bathrooms are shared, and although they're a bit old, they're pretty clean. The worst thing is the noise; the rooms that overlook the streets, being in the centre of the city, can be quite loud as they're not well sound-proofed. Furthermore, there is no air conditioning, and summer days can be pretty hot. Breakfast is provided, but limited to coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, with some bread rolls. Prices start at 27 euros, making it a good, economical option for the centre of Malaga, but you should ask for a room that doesn't overlook the street.
I am a nature lover, and as I recently received my new SLR camera, I decided to go and climb the famous Torrecilla de Malaga. We stayed in the Pinsapo campground, as we loved their cozy winter bungalows, their cafe with a fireplace, and their breakfast, which we had under the sun wrapped up in several layers of blankets. But the best thing about this campsite is the care that the owners offer their customers. For me and my camera, it was a wonderful experience waking up next to the huge snowy mountains.
This is a very new and very comfortable hotel next to the station. It's not very fancy, but is recommended for those traveling for conferences, also the breakfast is very good. The only problem is that the water in the shower changes from cold to boiling without you touching the taps.
It is located in the center of Malaga, very close to el Corte Inglés and in an area of bars and shops. The facilities are great and the rooms are spacious and divided into two areas. It has parking (16 €/day). It is the only regular access to the street where the hotel because it costs a bit to find the right one.
Elcano is a simple, charming and very clean hotel. The staff are very attentive, and you can walk to the beach or go downtown in less than 10 minutes...so, no need to take the car. The trouble is that it's almost always full, so you'll have to book well ahead of time. The price is pretty good, although it's more expensive in August, so I prefer going during Easter.
This hotel is very close to the Malaga Airport (Pablo Picasso), and 6 kilometres from the city centre. It has rooms with incredible sea views and its facilities are extensive and quite new. It also offers various services, like a shop, beauty salon, hairdresser and gym. From this hotel, you can easily access different cities like Seville, Cordoba and Granada, since it's quite close to all of these. As for sightseeing, the Palace of Congresses of Malaga and Torremolinos are close to the hotel.
Cenachero Hotel is located in the city of Malaga. It has 10 apartments with TV, telephone, bathroom, air conditioning, refrigerator, heating, safe, kitchenette, microwave, and living room. It has services including a 24-hour reception, bar, restaurant, garage, parking and terrace.
It's a small hotel but extraordinary in terms of location, cleanliness, comfort of the rooms, friendly staff and price. Fantastic breakfasts. There's air conditioning in every room and parking spaces, although for the latter, should refrain rookies with big cars (sure there are none .............. I mean newbies). If I had to rate from 1-10, I would rate it a 9.
This hotel is centrally located, between the port and the historic centre next to Calle Larios. It looks like nothing more than a block of flats from the outside, but when you get to the eighth floor you'll find an area more fitting a hotel with more stars. The rooms are clean and well-furnished, and the staff are attentive and polite. There's a cafe on the same street, offering good, cheap breakfast and lunch.
It is surrounded by shops, bars and restaurants, shopping centers, museums and monuments. Next to the hotel is the Teatro Alameda, a taxi rank, and the bus station, so if you want to visit other towns on the Costa del Sol such as Torremolinos, Fuengirola, or Nerja, you can do so easily. The airport is about 8km away; drive towards Malaga, and you'll find the hotel in the centre, next to the theatre. If coming from the airport by bus, take the # 19 which will bring you directly to the center.
I think the Ibis Malaga Aeropuerto is overrated...it's very expensive and the rooms are small and dated with tacky decor. The breakfast is bad and overpriced, but I have no complaints about the staff. Outside, it looks quite different; the truth is that it's a 2-star, so maybe I can't ask for more, but I think the price should be lowered to that of other hotels in the area. It feels more like a pension or a guesthouse.
This cozy hotel allows you to visit the city's most attractive sights and its surroundings. It's in the east of the city, beside the Moorish fortress of Alcazaba and the church of Victoria, 15 minutes from the famous Malagueta beach, 5 minutes from the Picasso Museum and 10 minutes from the shopping and business district.
Room Mate Lola Design Hotel is located in the center of Malaga, very close to Calle Larios. There are 50 rooms equipped with air conditioning, heating, TV, telephone, safe and terrace. It also has concierge, sundeck, wi-fi, 24 hour reception and room service.
